Ikebana Gallery Award - Since 2012

Ikebana Gallery Award provides Ikebana students around the world with opportunities to have their works reviewed by art specialists as well as tens thousands of internet users.
Ikebana Gallery Award aims to increase community understanding, enjoyment and participation in Ikebana. This project has been recognised as significant in the history of Ikebana.
Eligibility to Participate: The award is open to Ikebana students who have been studying Ikebana for no more than 5 years. Entries by Ikebana teachers are not accepted. See FAQ for more details.
Entry - Up to 3 Works Each Year: We accept entries once a year. One student can submit up to 3 works.
When to Enter: We accept entries in the last week of June (from 24 June to 30 June) each year.
We welcome your posts to the Ikebana Gallery Facebook Page all year around, but only works posted during the time specified above are eligible for the award. If you don't want to join the competition, please don't post your works during the above period.

How to Enter: There are two ways to enter
(1) Recommended
Simply share your work with Ikebana Gallery Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/groups/1419146962301093
You can share a photo album of up to 3 images on our Facebook page.
(2) By email - if option (1) does not work.
Email us your submission during the entry week. ikebana.gallery@gmail.com
All submissions must include an image of work in JPEG format (less than 0.5 Mb), your name, address (City & Country. Don't include your full address), ikebana school, lists of materials & a brief comment on your work (optional - less than 50 words). You may include your teacher's name with his/her permission.
Downsize your photo before you send it. This site may help you.
Key Dates:
24 - 30 June 2024: Entry week for Ikebana Gallery Award 2024
30 June 2024: Entries for the Ikebana Gallery Award 2024 close.
July 2024: Semi-finalists will be announced.
Late July 2024: Five finalists will be announced on the Ikebana gallery Facebook page & ISIR Website.
August 2024: Ikebana Gallery Award 2024 Winners announced.
Selection Process: The Ikebana Gallery Award Committee will select five finalists from the works posted on the blog and the facebook. Our judges will choose the winner from the finalists.
Privacy: If there is any items that you do not wish to be published, please state so clearly. We usually use your first name for our blog post, but your full name will be published if you win the award. We don't publish your email address nor address. We may use your work to promote Ikebana Gallery Award in our sites, or SNS.
Award: The winner will receive a certificate (PDF file). In addition to the Ikebana Gallery Award, we have started the Ikebana Gallery People's Choice Award. We will encourage people to choose their favourites out of our semi-finalists in public through Facebook.
